Hop on in for a morning get-together and a hearty breakfast to welcome Southern Nevada's first GeoRally. For those that get to the event early, there is a special menu and a price break for all attendees. After breakfast, you have a few options:
1) Go home and back to bed—hey, it’s Saturday, we all like to sleep in!
2) Make your own caching trip—hey, it’s Saturday, some of us like to get an early start!
3) Participate in the Vegas Valley GeoRally—hey, some of us like to try new things!
The first 25 teams to post a "will attend", with driver and participants listed, will have a slot in the event. After 25 "will attends," we will sign up other teams as alternates. When posting the Will Attend, participants need to post the members of their team so that we have an idea of how many people to expect. YOU MUST LIST BOTH MEMBERS OF YOUR TEAM BEFORE YOU CAN BE LISTED AS A TEAM!Then on the day of the event, if someone does not show or has dropped out, then according to the order of your post, alternate teams will be placed in an open slot. We will have only 25 packets for the participants and there will be no extras, so if you don’t post a “will attend” and NOTE THAT YOU PLAN TO PARTICIPATE, you won’t be counted. Upon arriving at the event, all teams must register at the sign in area (once all team members have arrived), turn in the signed GeoRally Waiver, and pay the $5 (per team) entry fee.
All participants must check in by 7:45am. If you have not checked in by 7:45am we will assign any waiting alternates in your place. We will start the event promptly at 8:00 AM and will not wait for anyone that isn’t there.
The goal of the Vegas Valley GeoRally is to log as many checkpoints (caches), complete all the speed bumps and deviations and make it to the finish line. The winner is the team with the most points.
All teams must conclude by arriving at the finish line by 1:00 p.m. More information can be found by CLICKING HERE. Here's where you'll find out the supplies that you'll be required to participate, the basics, the finish line, the twist, and the rules.

When posting your "Will Attend," please make note as to whether you'll be whether you'll be a bystander/cheerleader or if you plan to participate in the georally. If you do not state in your log that you'll be participating in the georally, you will not be listed as a team. (PLEASE NOTE that EVERYONE is welcome to attend the breakfast and GeoRally kickoff, but due to certain limitations, we have to limit the number of georally participants.) If you choose not to participate, feel free to hang out and cheer the participants on as they head out on their journey.
We are also looking for a couple of volunteers to help the day of registration, as well as donations (cache swag, containers, prizes, etc.). We are in need of a few ammo cans in like-new condition. Geocachers willing to donate will receive an additional hint for one of the caches involved in the rally. The coordinates may not be exact, but will point you to the proper parking lot.
