I use film containers for replacement caches but not for new one that I place. I have had problems with them leaking and getting brittle in the sun and falling apart. I some ways they are great, like they open easily and make power trails faster. I have just bought 3 sizes of double wall black plastic jars. I got 144 of each at a pretty good price. The larger ones hold some swag and a geocoin. They are black so I don't need to cammo them and I hope they are waterproof. I can use some of them as swag too. This is the web site www.specialtybottle.com/blackdoublewallplasticjarsmi.aspx

Jeeping is a way of life in which Geo Caching fits in well with.

Here is another container I just bought, They are called transport tubes.
The 5 mill allow for a lot of log sheets and a 6 cents won't break the bank. The web page is
www.lcmlab.com/5ml_Transport_Tube_With_Caps_p/421-0002w.htm

I bought some new cyro tubes too, they are 2 mil, only good for one log sheet but smaller. These have an external cap. Be sure to get the non sterile tubes, they are cheaper. This web site is www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=sear...ls%2c+non-sterile%2c

OK here is another one !!!!!!!! I bought Simport cyro vials. they are more expensive but have internal screw tops with O-rings I use then with rubber bugs and stuff because they are smaller. I have some caches in Vegs with them. You can buy them several places but I bought mine from Princetoncyro.com. I got them on sale... I see they are asking about 31 cents now

One thing I have been looking for is a cheap source for soda bottle preforms. These thins are dirt cheap to soft the drink industry, pennies at best. I have had some dealings in the plastic molding industry in my working life and know something about the cost but haven't found a source where I don't have to buy a shipping container full for a good price. In my research i saw where Pepsi get some of theirs from India!!!!

Lastly ammo boxes. I started watching government auctions but not lately. I may buy a bunch and have an "at cost" sale at an Event. At one time I found them for $2 !!!!!! I should have stocked up....it sure would have beat my IRA!!!!

Any input on these last 2 items would be a help

Next time I am in Vegas I will bring a bunch to give out at an Event or leave as swag, for the price they should be good for that. I have a few out and so far they have done great in the rains we have been having in San Antonio. The big test will be in Port Aransas, the humidity there is terrific. I am putting out more than 50 new caches for the Texas Challenge XI GC3W8GT on April 6th. I obviously have more containers than I will ever use and have been thinking about Putting out a cache called "The Cache Generator".
I would just fill the cache with surplus containers. I bought these huge ammo cans at the Munitions Museum in Hawthorn NV for 3/$20 so one might be large enough.

Sorry that I can't provide you a source to purchase ammo cans, but I would definitely be interested in an Event where you are selling them at cost!
