Anyone figure out what is up with "This comment has been removed" on some of the challenges? They haven't been inappropriate as far as I know. I know MillerDude's challenge has some and so does mine.

And for the thumbs down votes, is it just people who hate challenges in general? I think there are some rotten Celtic fans thumbing mine down. :) They should have to put a comment in so you would know.

I have been in the forums and they are allowing the geocaching communnity to force the challenges to be archived via the number of thumbs down votes, if I archive my challenge the people that completed it can't get back to it to see it, therfore I am leaving it up. The owner of it can't even go into it and editit.

Once you submit a challenge it no longer belongs to you, therefore you are not the owner just the creator. That's why you can't edit anything.

They're always in the last place you look, because once you find them, there's no reason to keep looking.

So if it gets archived, can you just resubmit it?

Have you noticed your Challenge has been archived?

That is garbage, as I was trying to leave it up untill they allowed them to be archived and still viewable, it is another feable attempt by groundspeack to begin with, I will not even try to to submit another one until they pull there heads out..

I found that I can see the archived challenges that I have completed.

Go to your profile, click that little profile rectangle/quick stat bar and then click on geocaches and then challenges.

Looks like Geocaching.com has pulled the plug on this experiment.

Some people were really into the challenges. Are you sure they pulled it? It looked to me like they were still able to be logged. I have only done 2 myself though.

Jeeping is a way of life in which Geo Caching fits in well with.

According to the information I have received, "...effective today, we have disabled the ability to create new Challenges. We have also removed the Challenges application from all mobile application stores. In approxim ately 7 days, we will be removing all traces of the Challenges functionality and related content from Geocaching.com."

I prefered virtuals and earthcaches as they could be stored on my gps easier.
