Every month I set goals for my self. For the month of August

1) Log at least one find everyday.

2) Log a find in every state I visit.

3) Find that darn Galleria River cache!



Well thats it for me, how about everyone else?

I was gonna find a cache every day. But that is already blown out of the water! Guess I'll just have fun this month.

I HATE setting goals. (this could become a work rant...)

Anyway, regarding the galleria river, well when I found it, I had to look for fishing line. But I can't recall how it was set up. I don't know if it has changed since I found it. Are you basically zeroed in on a spot or bouncing all over. I could further narrow it if that's the case, if it hasn't moved since.

We are trying to average at least a cache day for the week. So if it is one a day or 7 on the weekend...its all good.

I have a goal of 50 a month weather, I hit it all in one weekend (I am just a weekend cacher) or spread it out over the month.

Well I have made it finding caches for 7 straight days. It's going to be tough with my work schedule to continue this but I figure that pretty darn good in it's self.

Beginning September, my monthly goals will be pretty minimal.

Just make sure you keep up with the main one. Remember you are not an 18 year old immortal grunt anymore. I know that hurts, but keep your head (and ass) down!

We'll reach 300 by the end of August 2010.

So I did it, one at least every day plus getting ones in every state I was in (NV, AZ, UT and CO). Around the 15th I wanted to give up on it but something kicked in and I continued.


I passed the 400 mark, then the 500 mark and finally passed the 600 mark. I averaged just over 8 finds per day with over 250 for the month. Not bad since I did not do any "power trails" and had to do much of the caching before work in the mornings. Oh and I also hid 4 caches as well.

Now it's time to go back to my original goal of at least 1 find a month for the year.
